Tim and Sarah’s Laguna Beach Elopement
It was a sunny summer day, right in the middle of June and the middle of the Covid Pandemic, which was the catalyst for Sarah and Tim’s Laguna Beach Elopement. Their day may not have been the larger Laguna Beach wedding they originally planned, but they still got to have their sweet day. This Pandemic has made us all appreciate one another, especially the sweet kisses and cuddles, even if we can only do that to those who are closest to us. I feel so lucky to be one of the few photographers who have been able to do a little work and art through out this time, but this elopement was my first wedding since March and it felt so good to have something to celebrate!
The group of 8 was small but enthusiastic as Tim and Sarah said their I do’s, and it felt like every single minute I was there was packed with detail and emotion. Wedding days are always my favorite but something about elopements just makes my heart beat faster. I think it’s the fact that it’s easier to take a breath and notice each moment as it happens. Wedding days can fly by so quickly, but with elopements you are on your own timeline. You can stop and listen to each others vows and fully absorb it all. You can take a minute to look into your families faces and see that love shining back at you. So it may not have been exactly what they planned but it was perfect, and I feel perfectly blessed to have been there with them. To be able to showcase some more love and put that back out into the world, we all need a little bit more of that right now.
Big hugs!
Taryn
