Alana and Eric’s Backyard Elopement, Rancho Cucamonga

Alana and Eric's Rancho Cucamonga Backyard Elopement-23.jpg

Eric and Alana’s wedding day may not have looked the way they planned (a wedding at Ponte in Temecula) but it was full of love and laughter . And their big party will still come! (next year :)) Arriving at Alana’s parents house in Rancho Cucamonga was a trip. They live in a very typical Southern California neighborhood and not at all where we would typically expect to have a wedding. This Covid life has been surreal, but going to people’s home’s and taking photos in their backyards is a new experience for me. Alana was excited and rolling with the day, and her happiness radiated from her, and it was reflected back at her by all her friends and families smiling faces.

When you walked into the backyard the whole family did a beautiful job of making it feel like you were stepping into a romantic location far away. The key design element of the day was lemons! (because when life gives you lemons….) and it was such a beautiful pop of color contrast to the simple white palate of all the tables, flowers and chairs. The real focus of the day was the beautiful couple and their love story, and that was particularly evident in the vows, which were letters they wrote to and about each other well before the wedding day . I especially love that right now even with most of our family and friends needing to keep distance, we can find ways to include them and have them with us (Thank you technology!)

Eric and Alana, thank you for trusting me with your amazing day! Cheers to your wedded life an I hope you love these sneak peaks. I can’t wait to show you more. :)
