Megan and Katie’s Surprise Proposal at Coronado Beach

Yesterdays moody skies made for an amazing backdrop for Megan’s surprise proposal to her girlfriend Katie at Coronado Beach. This year has presented its challenges for all of us but for Megan (and I’m sure Katie) it’s been lots of obstacles in the way of her proposal plans. This was the third iteration of planning for Megan’s proposal (her original plan was to propose on a trip to Maui this spring which got cancelled because of Covid). But with the help of her friend Ryan, Megan was able to execute this final plan, and luckily for me I was chosen to capture the surprise. Even with the rain clouds nothing was going to stop this day from happening. And the joy of a proposal is always contagious! Everyone walking by cheered congratulations and I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time we hung out!

After their sweet proposal and Katie’s enthusiastic yes we made our way over to the dunes for some portraits and celebration drinks! While I was snapping away, Ryan made some delicious cocktails that we all shared in a celebration cheers! I love love obviously but my favorite part of hanging out with these two was the way they were together. Warm and loving and just already dreaming of all the future holds. After our dune photos Megan and Katie made a few Facetime calls to let family and friends know, which is always fun for me. I love hearing and seeing joy spreading! For our final stop we walked over to the hotel to get some more pictures and then I sent these three out to celebrate at a tasty dinner. I cannot wait for what the future holds in store for these two and hopefully they like these sneak peaks. Proposals are my favorite, more please!!!
